Three Cents Worth |
Everyone else just gives two cents... |
I’ve just begun to reread Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and, I’m happy to report, it’s just as magical as ever before.
I had a vague feeling that revisiting this book would leave me feeling disappointed, but far from it! Just as it was when it was first published it’s a classic from page one.
You know that moment in a book when you really just fall in love with it, when you’d stay up all night just to finish another chapter…or six? This book delivers that feeling to you quickly and effortlessly. I also appreciate the scope of the book, especially when you’re reading it for a second or third time. You begin to really see how well J.K. Rowling planned things out - even down to Harry having “his mothers eyes”.
Also, I forgot how witty and enchanting J.K. Rowling is. How do you even think of something like dragon heartstrings? I don’t know, but if you do, you deserve all the praise you can get.
